The Pre-Dental Biology program at USF delivers the knowledge, skills, and experience students need to be accepted into, and to succeed at, dental school.

USF’s Pre-Dental curriculum (link to academic plan) will give you a strong background in biology, chemistry, math, and physics — the competencies dental schools seek in candidates.

Hands-On Experience

Pre-Dental students work two semesters in our Human Cadaver Lab — a rare occurrence for undergraduates at most institutions!

Through our partnership with Matthew 25 Dental Clinic in Fort Wayne, students volunteer to help the clinic serve veterans and low-income members of the community.

Intern with a local dentist — we have long-standing relationships with professionals and can help you find the ideal internship opportunity.

Meet Local Scientists

Biology (and other science) majors attend weekly Science Seminars where they connect with and learn from area professionals.

I was more prepared than most dental school classmates from huge, renowned Division 1 universities. Studying in the USF cadaver lab really set the tone for my anatomical and physiological studies during the first part of dental school.
