Nursing: LPN to ASN

Students being taught by professor in the sim lab.

The right credentials can expand your employment opportunities and increase your income potential in the nursing field.

Why Become an ASN graduate?

Registered nurses, or RNs, provide and coordinate patient care in a variety of healthcare settings — and they are in high demand. An associate of science degree in nursing (ASN) provides the academic foundation and clinical experience you need to prepare for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Why Choose USF for Your LPN-to-ASN Program?

We developed our LPN-to-ASN program with current nursing professionals in mind:

  • Fits Your Schedule: Take classes full- or part-time at either our Fort Wayne or Crown Point campuses.
  • Finish Sooner: If you’re an LPN, you can get credit for your previous education, which helps you earn your ASN in just three semesters.

With an educational mission rooted in Franciscan values of faith and reason, USF’s nursing programs provide a holistic, person-centered approach to patient care. You’ll gain the knowledge and technical skills to become a competent RN — and essential soft skills that will make you stand-out as a compassionate, caring healthcare professional.
