An associate degree in nursing (ASN) focuses on direct patient care and is an ideal educational option if you are looking to start your nursing career as soon as possible. Earning your degree through an accredited ASN program also prepares you to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses, a requirement for many nursing positions.

Our accredited ASN program introduces you to human anatomy and physiology and the fundamentals of nursing; you’ll explore various areas of nursing from medical-surgical and mental health to maternity and child health.

Our simulation lab and nursing resource center give you a safe environment to learn and practice patient care. You’ll gain experience with industry-standard equipment in professionally modeled exam rooms and patient units, as well as develop your understanding of human physiology with high-fidelity infant, child and adult patient simulators.
USF’s accredited ASN program takes you into real-world healthcare settings where you will continue to develop your nursing skills.
