You might also get the chance to participate in a signature experience: Experiential Program with Integrated Cooperatives (EPIC) is a selective program for business majors that offers mentorship, special courses and up to two years of paid working experience.

Specialize in Sports Management: Concentration & Minor Option

The excitement of the stadium. The action in the arena. The fun on the field. The Midwest is home to many minor league and major league sports teams, and these organizations require sports-savvy managers for all levels of their operations, from tickets and travel to merchandise and marketing.

The University of Saint Francis sports management concentration (and minor) gives you a background in the business side of athletics operations, including classes in sports marketing and facility management.

Through our community relationships as part of your sports management concentration you will also have a chance to intern with with one of Fort Wayne’s professional minor league teams:

  • Komets (hockey)
  • Mad Ants (basketball)
  • TinCaps (baseball)

Faculty & Facilities

You will study with faculty members who are not only experts in their field of study, but also experienced business, human resources, and organizational behavior management professionals, as well as entrepreneurs and business owners.

In addition to taking courses at our main campus, you’ll have a chance to learn in our historic facility in downtown Fort Wayne. The University of Saint Francis Business Center features a finance lab, collaborative learning spaces, computer workstations and even a cafe.

Campus & Community Involvement

Getting involved on campus gives you a chance to have fun and meet new friends — and taking on leadership roles is also excellent preparation for your management career. With nearly 40 student clubs and organizations, you’ll find one (or many!) that match your interests. Some specific to business or that offer unique opportunities to manage campus events:

We also have many intramural and club sports programs, which can be a perfect complement to the sports management concentration.
