A degree in Finance from USF is a great investment: in yourself and your future!

By the time you graduate, you’ll be fully prepared to work as an analyst or advisor, guiding individuals, investors, and corporations in their financial planning.

Best of all, you’ll learn by doing. Our curriculum blends theory with practice via hands-on projects, internships, and other forms of experiential learning. The Busse Business School’s location in downtown Fort Wayne allows for close interaction and mentorship with finance professionals in the community.

Academic Plan

An academic plan is a general blueprint showing how one might complete the degree, semester by semester.

students studying in the business center downtown.

What You’ll Learn

Finance is more than the Stock Market (but we cover that, too!). Our Finance majors graduate with deep knowledge of:

  • Financial markets and institutions
  • Stock and bond valuation (fundamentals and techniques)
  • Investment portfolios and investment management
  • Corporate finance

Where You’ll Learn

In our state-of-the-art Busse Business School (in downtown Fort Wayne) with:

  • Finance lab – with real-time market data
  • Collaborative learning spaces
  • Computer work stations
  • Cougar Cafe

One of the best things about the Finance program is that we learn to do group projects and presentations. In my internship at Ash Brokerage, I saw how valuable these skills are and how much they’re needed. Knowing how to collaborate with others and being a confident, well rounded speaker has helped me so much already.
