Expand your career opportunities and boost your earning potential with multiple medical imaging certifications.

Why Study Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI)?

Advancements in medical imaging technology have introduced less invasive ways for patients to receive a diagnosis. Many areas, the Fort Wayne and Crown Point regions included, are welcoming new imaging centers and seeing significant expansion of current facilities. With this expansion comes a growing need for skilled, certified healthcare professionals.

The AMI bachelor’s degree expands upon your primary certification in the medical imaging field and provides the education and training required to sit for a second certification in an advanced specialty such as:

  • Computed tomography (CT scan)
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Mammography (M)
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI)

With multiple medical imaging certifications and a bachelor’s degree, you’ll be incredibly marketable within the healthcare field.

Already have an associates degree in radiography, sonography, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine technology or a related field?

The AMI bachelor’s degree builds upon your existing education and professional experience, allowing you to gain certification in additional modalities, which can expand your career opportunities and earning potential.

If you don’t already hold a current registration in radiography, radiation therapy, sonography, or nuclear medicine, consider our Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs to begin your journey into the AMI program.
